My story in the United States began in 2014, when I was invited by Tatiana Breslow and Ryan Brenizer to join their team as a second photographer. We first met during a workshop they led in Chile, and that connection opened the door to an unforgettable opportunity. Thanks to their generosity, I traveled from Chile to New York for the first time and had the chance to work alongside some of the most respected names in documentary wedding photography.
Since that first experience, I started returning regularly to the U.S., driven by the desire to keep learning, growing, and expanding my creative vision. Along the way, I met incredible people in the American photography community—like Carolina Rivera, with whom I now collaborate on brand representation, photography, video production, and second camera work.
This journey has shaped my career deeply. It allowed me to witness different ways of working, to understand the North American market from the inside, and—most importantly—to learn from talented professionals who’ve inspired me both personally and artistically.
Today, I’m thrilled to introduce matigonzs as my first personal brand in the United States. After more than 10 years of photographing weddings, stories, and people with soul, it’s exciting to bring my work to a new audience and continue this path with the same passion and purpose that started it all.
I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed to my journey. Special thanks to Tatiana, Ryan, and Carolina—your trust, mentorship, and support have meant the world to me. This wouldn’t have been possible without you.
